Moji AI Multispectral Skin Analysis: AI-Driven Digital Transformation in the Beauty Industry

Recently, the Moji AI smart skin analyzer, designed for the global beauty industry, was officially launched in overseas commercial markets. Integrating multispectral optical imaging, cloud-based AI deep learning, and 3D skin simulation, this professional analysis device is tailored for beauty salons, skin management centers, and medical aesthetic clinics. By leveraging quantitative skin data, it helps beauty businesses standardize skin assessments and digitize their service workflows.

As global beauty consumption evolves, consumers are no longer satisfied with subjective judgments based solely on an aesthetician's experience; objective, visual skin analysis has become a vital tool for acquiring customers, communicating treatment plans, and comparing pre- and post-treatment results. Traditional skin analysis devices often suffer from limitations such as a narrow range of analysis metrics, imaging susceptibility to ambient light interference, rigid reporting formats, and an inability to manage customer profiles across chain locations. The Moji AI smart skin analyzer addresses these industry pain points through optimized hardware and software integration, delivering a comprehensive commercial skin assessment solution.

Hardware Capabilities: 8-spectrum imaging technology, enabling the examination of both the skin surface and subcutaneous layers.

On the hardware front, the device features an industrial-grade high-definition imaging lens and integrates eight spectral light sources—including white light, positive and negative polarized light, Wood's UV light, red light, blue light, and brown light—along with a built-in light shield to block ambient light interference. During capture, it simultaneously acquires eight facial images under different spectra, enabling the detection of surface-level issues (such as pores, fine lines, and uneven skin tone) as well as deep-seated problems invisible to the naked eye (such as subcutaneous UV spots, potential pigmentation, sensitivity/redness, and collagen loss), covering a total of 14 skin assessment metrics. The unit supports a wide voltage range (100–240V), making it compatible with power grids in most countries, and features an intuitive 21.5-inch HD touchscreen interface. An accompanying moisture probe allows for additional direct measurement of skin hydration levels, further enriching the data dimensions.

Regarding software algorithms, the device uploads captured images to a cloud server, where AI deep learning models analyze various skin metrics and grade their severity on a scale of 1 to 5. The system features two core capabilities: 3D skin texture simulation and skin aging prediction. The 3D mode renders the skin's surface topography—including fine lines and texture—in three dimensions, while the aging prediction function simulates how the skin might evolve under two different scenarios: consistent, scientifically-backed skincare versus a lack of proper care, offering consumers an intuitive educational experience. Upon completion of the analysis, a comprehensive report is automatically generated; customers can scan a QR code to view and save the report on their mobile phones, and stores can also print hard copies.

The device is currently available to beauty industry channels across multiple overseas markets. Industry analysis indicates that AI-powered skin analysis devices are set to become standard equipment for beauty establishments, as digital diagnostic tools continue to drive the global beauty industry toward greater standardization and transparency.
